Local Energy Optimisation

Controlling a large number of distributed energy resources together as a virtual power plant is key to realising their potential value for the power system.

However, when these resources are owned by individual prosumers, it is challenging for direct control to provide sufficient flexibility and end-user functionality to be appealing.

The federated power plant concept helps address this. Rather than directly controlling prosumer resources like a traditional virtual power plant, a Peer-to-Peer platform would provide a market mechanism facilitating mutually beneficial energy transactions between subscribed prosumers, with the system operators responsible for managing network power flows.

The key features of our system:

Facilitates the participation of groups of prosumers in wholesale electricity markets, including ancillary services

Peer-to-peer energy-trading platform with transactions between self-organizing prosumers

Automated system matching prosumers with similar preferences including environmental, risks, community interests, location, time etc.

Who is it for ?

  • Micro-Grids & private networks for business parks, universities, industrial estates, airports and others
  • Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) for existing and new developments
  • Energy suppliers & generators along with large property owners
  • Dedicated Energy Strategy and Procurements

Qbots Energy follows a Platform as a Service (PaaS) model to work with customers. The projects will be done in a phased manner:

  • Consultancy and impact potential
  • Feasibility & design
  • System implementation
  • Infrastructure projects coordination
  • Maintenance & Operation
